I am an approved Clinical Supervisor in the State of Florida for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns seeking their license to practice counseling in Florida.
My areas of interest are trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. In addition, I am trained in EMDR and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. My treatment modalities are Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Solution Focused Approach, and Dialectical behavioral Therapy.
I have many years of experience developing and implementing programs in and out of United States. Most of my experience comes from Community Mental Health Agencies and Inpatient Substance Abuse programs.
I truly enjoy implementing groups, so I have many years of experience providing interpersonal and psycho-educational groups such as anger management, healthy relationships, assertiveness, and substance abuse prevention programs.
My approach to clinical supervision is similar to my approach to therapy. I believe that the goal of supervision is not simply to complete your required hours but also to learn to provide competent care to your clients. During my years of experience in counseling, I have learned tools and techniques that I would love to share with supervisees committed to succeeding in their career.
During our meetings, we will review your cases, and suggestions for treatment approaches or interventions, addressing countertransference, and ethical questions. I will also provide you with guidance regarding upholding ethical standards, ensuring client welfare, and promoting psychological growth during your years of supervision.
